"Sikhsha banchita" is a Bengali (ethnic Indian) expression that denotes individuals who could not get education due to poverty and social disadvantages. Our charitable trust provides financial support and encouragement to those disadvantaged school students who have demonstrated academic success even in face of adversity .

We are looking forward to get support and advice from non resident Indians who believe in the importance of education for social development in India. The support that these students need is not much in terms of dollars, pounds or euro. Only twenty US dollar can provide for the school fees and books for a single school student for the entire year. We had a modest beginning but now we want to scale up this support. We are looking for supporters who can also become role models to these students and help them retain their convictions that they too can become as accomplished as their benefactors.
